Why do humans need a little bit of solitude every now and then? Well we need to be able to have our own space because while people are social beings, we need the ability to just chill out every so often. We don't always want people to be in our space, and know every little detail about everything that we do. People need a little time every so often where they can just sit, and not have the entire world peering over their shoulder. It is human nature, but why do we feel the need to be by ourselves every so often?

Sometimes we just need time by ourselves to process our emotions. If you are sad, do you really want the whole world to see you crying? It is not good to have people seeing you cry, and sometimes you would just rather process that emotion by youself, and not be bothered by others watcihng. We need time to just sit and think, and figure out why we are feeling the way that we are. If you have a million people bothering you, you don't have that time to be reflective about why you feel the way you do.

It is just easier to reflect on things when we are by ourselves. With no one around to give their opinions, it is easier to think for ourselves, and come to our own conclusions on things. If you have ever stayed awake at night, and didn't have the TV on, or the newspaper out, you would know what I mean. It is just you, and your thoughts, and that is all it needs to be sometimes. You can really think when you are alone, and get a feel for what you are when you are alone.

There are times when you just feel like you are going to explode, and you just need a little bit of time so that you don't do something you will regret. If someone you hate is in your face, and you can't yell because you are at work, or in public, what do you do? Usually you walk away, and find a room that you can use for a second. You just go and yell, or hit something instead of taking out your anger on the person. It can be a healthy way to vent, without causing a scene.

Humans do things that we don't wish to have other people see. When we are in the shower, we usually like to be alone for the most part. If you are in the bathroom, do you want people watching you? Of course not, those are things that you do behind a closed door, and nobody else should be there with you, unless you can't do it yourself. Sleeping is a lot easier when you are alone, or at least if you are given space when you sleep with your wife or husband.

We need solitude because we are individual creatures. We might enjoy being social, but we need time to ourselves to really process what we are. We don't need our entire lives being broadcast to the world, and something we just need to keep private for our own good.
