Unidentified Flying Objects have been something that has always fascinated the masses. The crazy stories, photographs, and the fantastic movie plots about their eventual taking over of Earth. But really where do they come from? Well as disappointing as the answer is, it does not make it any less true. UFOs did not come from another planet, they did not teleport in from the future, but more from our creative minds.

There is a lot we do not know about outer space, just like back when they thought the earth was flat and there were great monsters at the end of the world. People need adventure, we like the idea of aliens coming to earth to pick a few of us to do crazy experiments because it excites us.

It is this addicting excitement that keeps some people from ever really thinking what it would really be like if UFOs in fact were coming to earth. Imagine if we had the technology to travel great distances to other habitable planets, one thing we are certain about with our little knowledge of the universe is that life is very rare.

So if we were to go through all the trouble of traveling far enough to reach another life form, I doubt our approach would be just to fly around every so often, sometimes grabbing one to see how they breathe. Or would we make contact, would we reach across the galaxy with a handshake and marvel at the progression our society has made?

So UFOs are not from another life form, unless they have a really weird habit of going through the trouble to find other life, just to take a picture.

Another explanation is that UFOs are left over from the Nazis in World War Two, and that during the Cold War, the United States and Soviet Union were racing against each other secretly in getting the technology. There are only two problems with this, for one it does not account for the UFO sightings before the war, some going back as far as the 1870s.

The second is just like every other aspect of the Cold War, everything was a competition, that received maximum attention. Look at the space race, how public both sides made it when the accomplished something great. If either side would have found this super UFO technology, they would have been eager to show it off claiming to be the true super power.

So with all of this considered, it's safe to say that a combination of the human imagination with some irregularities in our world are responsible for the UFO phenomenon. So the next time the headlines are full of the most recent UFO sighting, most of us will be holding our breath hoping for some kind of breakthrough, its just unfortunate we may pass out waiting!
