**Step 1:**As we know, a whole of something is equal to 100%. In this case, we want to find what 1% of 22 is. We know that 100% of 22 is, well, just 22.**Step 2:**If 100% of 22 is 22, then we can get 1% of 22 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 22 / 100. This is equal to 0.22. Now we know that 1% is 0.22.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 22 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 0.22 times 1 = 0.22. That's all there is to it!
